His dynamic, composer-inspired works will bring a fresh and inspiring visual dimension to this year’s celebration.”
The Mainly Mozart Artist-in-Residence program aims to highlight San Diego artists whose work bridges the worlds of music and visual art, creating an immersive festival experience. As the 2025 Artist-in-Residence, Anderson’s art will be prominently featured at the annual Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra Festival, running June 18-28. This celebrated event, recognized as the largest gathering of concertmasters and principal players from top U.S. orchestras, has also evolved into North America’s largest Mozart festival.
Anderson’s collection will be showcased at the festival’s two primary venues—The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center and UC San Diego’s Epstein Family Amphitheater—offering attendees a unique opportunity to engage with his work. The exhibition will feature original pieces and lithographs, all available for purchase, including two artworks previously displayed at the 23rd Japan International Art Exchange in 2024, held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
In addition to the exhibition, Anderson’s visually striking depictions of legendary composers—Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, and Bach—will be incorporated into the festival’s branding. His artwork will be featured in event programs and promotional materials and will adorn a variety of festival merchandise, including blankets, t-shirts, tote bags, and notecards, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra and The Art of Autism.
