Highlighting City Life Through Texture, Contrast, and Color Collision
NEW YORK, NY, April 22, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Korean contemporary artist Sangwon Chun has been selected to participate in The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, taking place from May 8 to 11 at ZeroSpace (337 Butler St., Brooklyn, NY). This international art event will feature 120 emerging and independent artists, each presenting their work through individual booths that foster direct interaction with attendees.
As part of the Brooklyn edition, Chun will exhibit a curated selection of oil paintings capturing urban cityscapes, as well as experimental pieces that incorporate red pine pollen and other natural materials. Her work explores emotional expression within modern city life, often using unique media such as charcoal, iron powder, and red pine pollen to create visual depth and contrast through color harmony and dynamic perspective.
The Other Art Fair has rapidly grown over the past decade into a globally recognized platform for artists, with editions held in seven cities worldwide. Operated by Saatchi Art, the fair is known for its approachable atmosphere, curated talent, and immersive programming. In addition to artist booths, the Brooklyn edition will include live performances, DJ sets, and on-site experiences.
A graduate of Seoul National University’s Department of Painting, Chun has participated in various notable exhibitions, including her 2023 solo exhibition at Nineone Gallery, Seoul Auction X Zero Base (2022), and ART KAOHSIUNG in Taiwan (2019).
